said she'd be happy with anythign she got and she'd quite like surprises.. she's pretty much like this every year

She had to write down what she'd like at school the other day she said "mummy I didn't know wjat to put as there nothing I really want so I picked soemthing really random and wrote down a charm"

now she's 6 and a little angel so I feel like I would quite like to get her a charm but what? just to make it like Father christmas new.. Any ideas as to what I could buy?? maybe a really cheap charm bracelet?

Maybe a little silver bracelet with one charm, then you can add to it on birthdays or as a holiday memento etc. I've got one that I've had for years and years and it's one of my most treasured possesions.

She sounds like a real sweetie!

IdrisTheDragon · 12/12/2008 10:24

Have found this in argos?

twinklytoes · 12/12/2008 10:27

definately a charm bracelet. dd1 was given one when she was born and we add charms at xmas. hsamuel sell cheap charms.

or if shes still into disney princess theres a disney doll that comes with a charm bracelet

LostGirl · 12/12/2008 10:29

You could also buy this santa charm to put on it.

aw! my dd is also six and has said the same. I've got loads for her little sister who is 3 and QUITE SPECIFIC. So far I have got her some books, a book light to read by at night, a joke book, and a princess set from the Disney store - and some shared presents with her sister (a post office and post box, they LOVE to play post offices).

Anyway yes a charm bracelet sounds good. What about a nice silver one and a special jewellery box to keep it in?

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 10:54

thanks guys. I'm kinda falling in love with the idea but I've already finished shopping.. I'm falling in love with the idea of buying her the charm bracelt and every Christmas buying her a charm, like a tradition I guess.. but then if I do that I want to get a v nice bracelet that she can keep and maybe pass on but like I said I'm aready supposed to be finsihed.. why can't I do anything by halves

eh? You only asked half an hour ago! You banana

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 11:09

lol, I meant I'd already finished buying her bits & pieces.. you know; some books, a dvd, a wii game, a pretty dress etc

but since I started this I'm drooling over the idea of a chram bracelet..

She could have one charm on a ribbon this year and a really really nice bracelet as a 'big present' next year?

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 14:02

I have fallen in love with this

and maybe her initial as a first charm

it's a bit of money but her main present at the moment is my old nano loaded with her music

MOH

The sweetie bracelet is what I have my eye on for my DD too!!

Again I have finished shopping and keep trying to convince myself that she has enough but I know she would love it - she is a very girly girl.

I like that you get them restrung every year and can add links and make them bigger as they grow.

Am trying to convince Dh that we should buy it for her but am so far struggling - Might have to change my persuasive technique

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 14:32

Really Linzs?? it's gorgeous isn't it..

we can gush together.. I keep hovering over the 'buy' button lol

MoH I don't suppose you want me to point out that your initial idea was 'a really cheap charm bracelet', do you ?

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 15:19

LOL.. I'm so rubbish

MascaraOHara · 12/12/2008 20:29

Gonna wrap them both seperately in some special paper and put a ribbon round them both.. am suddenly so excited

have been very naughty though, was going to be a cheapy christmas
