Harrods have some little pink or blue baubles.

MrsMattie · 11/12/2008 22:06

John Lewis and Mothercare both do sweet ones. I think you can personalise them, too.

SparkyFartDust · 11/12/2008 22:09

oh thank you both- will go and investigate

Pretty sure you can get them online from MC and JL, too.

Our local card shop had some pretty ones last year, silver bells with a plaque saying Baby's First Christmas

mrsfrancesca · 12/12/2008 01:53

I got one from our local garden centre and one from selfridges.

Fenwick have lovely ones - we buy one every year for DD so that when she leaves home she'll have a collection of her own

SueW · 12/12/2008 09:15

My mum buys Swarovski stars/snowflakes each Christmas.

There are two versions - a large one - the star (which DH and I are given, a tradition started by his mum as a pressie easily posted from NZ and taken over by my mum when his died) and a smaller one (I think that's the snowflake) which she has bought for my niece and DD since they were tiny. We don't hang them up yet - we're waiting til we have a collection big enough to have a special tree.

Swarovski also do other Christmas hanging ornaments.

Steiff also some - expensive though.

this would be fab if your budget stretches that far.

Pinkjennybellrock · 12/12/2008 16:43

I got dd a gorgeous one from Mamas and Papas last year. This year, it was broken within about two hours of the tree being up.

SparkyFartDust · 12/12/2008 18:19

Tis lovely pigley but my pennies won't go that far!
and sorry for your loss Pinkjenny

I ordered this and it arrived in 2 days; perhaps contact them? last order date today

SparkyFartDust · 13/12/2008 13:22

That is very lovely Peachy

I went into J Lewis/ Fenwick today and all good ones gone. Also, missed deadline for internet order.

I am going to embroider (?- never done it before...but am game to try) baby's name and year onto simple cloth heart decoration.

It will either be a lovely and tasteful keepsake or more likely a scruffy amateur affair best hidden at back of tree.
