Love - sitting down in the afternoon once all presents unwrapped, dinner made and eaten and cleared and watching movies with the kids.

Hate - Everything else. But if I had to pick one thing I hated more than all others it would be getting the Christmas tree into the stand and putting the lights on.

Love - the build-up and anticipation

Hate - the let down afterwards (esp when i was a teenager and expected my parents to mindread what i wanted!)

Love - putting the decorations up

Hate - the dust/mess they create when they've been up a while and you feel a bit Bah Humbug if you take them down to tidy up the place!

Love christmas eve with the family all excited and the presents and tree looking beautiful. Looking up at the stars and imagining the journey to Bethlehem and spotting Father Christmas in his sleigh.

Hate Once the presents are opened and the lunch eaten. Another 364 days to go !

Does it have to be about Christmas? If not, the one thing I really love today, is my family. Especially DH, he stepped up to the mark, when he knew I was stressed out beyond belief and was just there.

Hate - that I've still got another stressy day tomorrow, before the weekend!

Love - Seeing my DD's face when she opens her presents.
Hate - Have to do the rounds of family that I only see because its Christmas!

Love - coming down with DD in the morning, opening the door and seeing if he's been

Hate - about 8pm christmas night - it's nearly over..

But then on boxing day we get to chill out and eat turkey butties and play games, so it's all good again.

Love - everything about xmas and new year.
Hate - thinking about the tax return I will have to do when its all over and having to go back to work after new year.
