our FC has a miniature bottle of Glenmorangie in a fancy tin. When I was small FC was partial to a sweet sherry

Lol, ours isn't fussy, tee hee! Altho prefers a beer. !!!

sagacious · 10/12/2008 21:18

Last year he had a tot of baileys....

brightwell · 10/12/2008 21:19

Bailey's...a large one. It was always beer when I was young.

Apollinare · 10/12/2008 23:00

One year FC came to our house and drank copious amounts of Boddingtons. He then stamped all over one DS, who was sleeping on the floor as Grandma had arrived, fell into the toy box and woke up the other DS. We were all awake all night then. Christmas joy, joy, joy.

From then on FC just gets a sodding carrot!

Hot Chocolate. In a bloody Thermos Flask so it doesn't get cold.

I have to wash the bloody thing up.

PinkPoinsettias · 10/12/2008 23:19

whatever brandy i have left over from making the cake .... though when the dc's visited him at the weekend he requested a glass of milk and a banana as he's trying to be healthier this year.....

think i may still have to put out the brandy though, would feel wrong not to

pinkbubble · 10/12/2008 23:20

milk!

Honest!

pinkbubble · 10/12/2008 23:21

he doesn't drink and drive!

TinselianAstra · 10/12/2008 23:22

Glass of whiskey and a mince pie.

Whatever Dad wants to drink though really isn't it? (unless Mum likes a suitably masculine-seeming drink that it could pass for Father Christmas's)

gothicmama · 10/12/2008 23:25

same as pinkbubble - milk for santa with water for the reindeer

glass of milk, and a mince pie for santa and a carrot for rudolph.

chuckeyegg · 11/12/2008 08:15

Brandy mince pie and carrot for Rudolph.

ShauntheSheep · 11/12/2008 08:28

milk and a mince pie for Santy and Rudolph gets moss which daddy has to collect on Xmas eve regardless of the weather

We always gave milk too for the reason Pink bubble gave so its now tradition.

lovecat · 11/12/2008 08:31

Well, it was (this is the first year DD's been really aware of the whole palaver) going to be a glass of Jamesons' and a mince pie.

However, the FC we saw last week informed DD that he wanted a glass of red wine (FFS?!) so unless DD has forgotten about it by next week it looks like we'll be cracking open the rioja....

AndATigerschickInAPearTree · 11/12/2008 09:03

Ours gets a small malt whisky ... just like Daddy likes ...

And a mince pie for Santa (with serveral extras incase he's really hungry) and the vegetable peelings and water for the reindeer.

sagacious · 11/12/2008 13:09

Had to at appollinaire

janinlondon · 11/12/2008 13:14

Apparently he only drinks Oban. It takes me ages to find the damned stuff.....

AlderTree · 11/12/2008 14:11

whiskey - single malt, some sweet treat depending on what is open and carrots for the r'deers. In our house the carrot bit is the most important to ds possibly because we have a bit of a thing about reindeer decorations!

LynetteScavo · 11/12/2008 14:16

He always drinks the whisky we leave, but only takes on bite of the mince pie. Every year. Does he eat other peoples? I'm begining to think he doesn't like mine very much.

deckthegirlandboywithholly · 11/12/2008 14:18

Mince pie and a glass of port.

Is it only me that leaves out port for Santa?

deckthegirlandboywithholly · 11/12/2008 14:19

Lynette - Santa leaves just a few crumbs of mince pie at our house. Drains the port though!

Iklboo · 11/12/2008 14:19

Ours is having a Jack n coke. With another one for Mrs Christmas

basementbear · 11/12/2008 14:21

What ever bottle DH has on the go at the time . This year I think he will be getting madeira. We don't do mince pies but sometimes he gets a Quality Street and Rudolph always gets a carrot.
