Amazon says 6th February for delivery?????

I ordered a whole load of bits and pieces on Monday, but my account page on Amazon is saying it won't be delivered before 25th December. They are standard items like popular DVDs and books, and everything was in stock when I placed the order. I know they are busy, but how can they still be advertising to deliver by Christmas (for a further 9 days!)??

did you order it to come in one delivery? there may be one item that's holding everything up-if possible choose the option to have items delivered individually or in smaller batches when they are ready

We ordered something on Saturday which is out for delivery today - very impressive, which is why I'm so surprised at the February delivery date. Maybe they will deliver in time and exceed my expectations.

I think they only guarantee that it comes before Xmas if you pay for delivery, probably in the small print or something.

Fwiw, I ordered something from them last week and it said due delivery date 6th jan or something like that and the items turned up 2 days later.

yup, check the all in one order thing

phone them up. They are great on the phone.
It could be a mistake or perhaps one item delaying the whole order. If it is only one item you could get them to send the rest ahead and cancel/allow that item to arrive later

Mine said delivery jan-march, i emailed them and said cancel whatever is delayign the delivery and they discovered a fault in the system, I had a despatch comfirmation 4 hours later.

Does your credit card still have credit on it?

I got an email from Amazon today saying my stuff won't be delivered until after 5th January - turned out that I have maxed out my credit card . When I put in other payment details, it went back to delivery in time for Christmas.

i'vehad this - everything in stock and dvd sent out for despatch but other items scheduled after xmas - 29thdec - 8 jan. I chose supersaver and dont understand why dvd has been despatched and not others - it wont give option to cancel it either?

yes...you must be able to cancel it...look through on your account page...it will tell you thing holding everything up or simply email them.

Go through the stuff you've ordered. One of them must be out of stock. Its free delivery ATM isn't it ? I've done two seperate orders as two of the dvd's I want arn't available till 20th December and I want to make sure I've definately got something IYKWIM.

Go into your orders and it should let you ammend orders not yet sent out.

yes!!!! I've spoken to amazon and they cannot understand why the delivery dates are what they are when one of the items has been despatched - so they've cancelled it now - now i'm stuck as to what to get to replace these things!!!!

well you're luckier than I am! it wont dispatch my stuff until the New Year wont tell me what if anything is holding it up (all in stock) and wont let me use my gift card

And I e-mailed at least 3 days ago and no reply, I started a thread and that got no reply either

Baker ross have just trashed my order for school fair too, ordered a whole lot of stuff thankfully I checked on Friday to see what had happened and it wasn't going to dispatched again everything claiming to be in stock, they weren't going to tell me and were just going to send the stuff after Christmas (like we want 'make your own Christmas card baubles' in time for Easter) my dh has had to pay for extra delivery and now I feel irritated and angry and obliged to complain since we are supposed to be raising money for charity.
