My Ds1 (3.9) made a jellybaby Jesus cake at his preschool today.

He was so excited to show me and asked me to take a photo for his daddy as he couldnt wait that long to eat it Pic on profile

that's very cute and very funny!

IwishIwasaStockingStuffer · 09/12/2008 21:22

That is so cute, I've never heard of that before!

jooseyfruit · 09/12/2008 21:26

bless his cottons.

looks like he took a lot of time correctly positioning jesus' icing swaddling clothes!!

hermionegrangerat34 · 09/12/2008 21:28

What a fab idea! I'm going to make those with my dss this weekend.

Thats great ! very excited to see that you like My Life Story.

fruitful · 10/12/2008 13:01

Fantastic! I have to make those with the children. What it the blanket made of - is it just cloth or cotton wool or something edible?

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 10/12/2008 13:24

The blanket is royal icing (left over from icing the christmas cakes)

My Life Story - I know blast from the past, but great music for bopping to with the children.

not relevant to the cake, but will still be appreciated

Debris · 11/12/2008 11:28

Thank for that , it has inspired me to put my MLS cd in the car , forgotten how much I like them.

VivaLaPotPourri · 14/12/2008 20:30

Oh my that is so so so so cute! I will have to make some with DS.

HarktheheraldAnglepoise · 15/12/2008 20:41

This has inspired me to make a jellybean Nativity scene, possibly incorporating my yet-to-be-made Ikea gingerbread house as stable

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 15/12/2008 20:49

We have made 24 of them for the mum and toddler christmas party tomorrow.

Cupofteaplease · 16/12/2008 08:34

These are fantastic! Do you think I could get away with making some for my Year 2 class as a Christmas treat? I'm worried some of the paretns may feel offended... I'm a church goer, and I'm not offended, but you never know...

So, shall I do it?!

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 16/12/2008 09:05

What is there to get offended about. I thought they were such good fun

OP posts:
Cupofteaplease · 16/12/2008 09:27

Oh don't get me wrong- I think they are great! I just didn't want to upset anyone by giving their child Jesus to eat! I have decided to make them anyway- the children will enjoy them, I'm sure, so thanks for posting the idea.

AdventCandleQueen · 16/12/2008 14:00

Ahh yes, the difficult question of transubstantiation of a jelly baby!

kettlechip · 16/12/2008 20:05

Blimey, not relevant to OP but I went to see My Life Story back in my uni days. Didn't they have one big hit - can't even remember what it was now, my housemate was a massive fan. That is such a blast from the past, going to look on itunes in a mo..

ja9ladiesdancing · 16/12/2008 20:12

tassisssss · 16/12/2008 22:01

ja9ladiesdancing · 16/12/2008 22:11

HangingbaublesofBethlehem · 16/12/2008 22:25
