first carol singers - do I get the prize ~?

two boys,about 13 - told them it was waaay too early and to come back in 2 weeks...they were very good natured about it

We got some at the weekend!!
(dh gave them some money, we have had 2 lots since and I have told them to come back nearer Christmas. I should also have told them to learn some carols.)

i had some just, told them to come back in a week or so. they were about ten and also good about it

We had 2 at about 6 o'clock. Then had some more about 8pm, didn't answer the door and they were banging the door and window for about 5 minutes before giving up and going next door!! 8pm is too late for carol singers in my house!!

non here yet either - but I shall be my usuall scrooge - if they sing me only the first part of we Wish you a Merry Christmas, or only the first verse of Away in a Manger - I ask for the rest of it - if they don't know it they go away empty handed

Had some yesterday. I docked them money for "Good tidings we bring to you and your king" but they were sruprisingly tuneful.

I feel a bit mean now, but I did think it was a little bit premature - Christmas should really be Christmas week,not 2 weeks before !
