I'd like something nice and bright and not too 'old' IYKWIM and the hat to have the longer peices over the ears. Found an absolutely gorgeous set in children's Gap today only to discover their smallest size starts at age 6.

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received ...

I saw some nice ones in Next. I know they had them in baby sizes, so hopefully they'll have something similar in your DD's size?

I got a lovely knitted peppa pig one in Woolies for £10 about a month ago. Not sure if its still there tho....

Monsoon do gorgeous stuff like this, but they are pricey.

home bargains had a beautiful set in lovely pinks and oranges with a sherpa style hat and pom pom scarf and gloves with people on the fingers and it was either £2.99 or £4.99

I got DD a beautiful knitted set exactly as you describe from H&M last year - not been in this year so I don't know whether they still have them.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I did the rounds yesterday when Xmas shopping - Monsoon, H&M, Next, John Lewis, M&S but no joy (possibly I am being a little bit picky!!). I think the troble was that after seeing the pefect set in Gap, nothing else was quite right.

However, ended up having a look on e-bay this morning and found a really nice new set - knitted, a few sequins and tassles over the ears. So fingers crossed it lives up to it's photo ...
