navyeyelasH · 12/12/2008 08:48

Oh bugger - I thought it looked really good. The other suggestions are good but others will be buying similar

This is brilliant
www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher-Price-Roll-A-Rounds-Drop-Roar-Dinosaur/dp/B0007WWZK4

(sorry, it was in stock recently!!)

My DS has the sit-to-stand giraffe thing, and does like it, but raelly loves the dino as well, and it's high enough that he can stand against it.

i had to get mine from ebay though.

navyeyelasH · 12/12/2008 09:11

kekouan that looks brilliant - can't find it in stock though! Tried ELC, mothercare, toys are us, woolworths, Argos, wilkinsons..... where have I forgotten?

I would stick with plastic for toddlers. Wood is lovely and looks great, nice and traditional etc but plastic is more practical. Lighter weight so a toddler chucking a plastic toy is much less serious than throwing a solid wooden building brick at a baby/the cat/tv/window/dropping on it?s foot etc. Also easier to keep clean as they often still put stuff in their mouth. Wider and cheaper range of toys too.

I have just started to switch to wooden now my DD2 is 5 and glad I waited as she is a lot kinder to her toys and values the more expensive carefully chosen stuff now.

navy - apparently argos sporadically have it in stock, but I had to get mine from ebay - there are plenty there and most of them good condition I think.

just search 'drop roar dinosaur' to get the most results.

Good luck, DS bloody loves that toy!

I got it from Argos Kekouan, it was for a birthday yesterday and the baby loves it, thank you so much for your help.

Now I just need to find something for another 1 year old on the 27th December, I have 6 birthdays to shop for this month on top of Christmas!

Navy, no problem impressed that you managed to find one!

How about one of these www.mothercare.com/ELC-Vehicle-Pop-up-Ball-Pit/dp/B0013K3HKQ

sorry, just been looking at millions of things recently as my DS just turned 1.
