I've left it too late to buy ds much wanted present. Do I disappoint him or pay 2X price on ebay?

title says it all. He wants the lego police centre, retailing at £47 and sold out everywhere. There are a few on ebay for £80-£90, dh will be mad if I pay double but can I really disappoint my ds? It is the only thing he wants and he has talked about it for weeks.

I just got an apparently unavailable lego command centre from mytoys.de in Germany. Same price as here, delivered in five days and they have these too if you do get stuck. But you will need Google translate to translate the transaction pages, but it's quite straightforward really.

disneystar - they are ridiculous prices on Amazon - there is one on there now for £246!!!!

Lowfat - I had the same problem with the Clone Wars Blaster nbut some one here linked me to here where they have them for £12.99 although they are blue not white.

I got my ds one and he thought it being blue was fab because aparently that means it belongs to such and such clone trooper

It came within about 3 days iirc.
