gifts for godsons in Ireland aged 8 and 10

Hello

I need to send by post some gifts for my godsons aged 8 and 10. usually I send books - not sure what boys that age would like? I don't know any boys that age. they are apparently into football etc but do like reading.

am glad to consider anything as long as light for posting.

II year old - Books by Charlie Higson (young Bond series) or Anthony Horrowitz (sp). DS1 loves both of these authors.

8 year old - Roddy Doyle's books for children are very good.

Toys....

Might be too heavy to post but mine like construction toys. ie. Build a something or other.

Their parents will probably appreciate something that the boys can build on their own without too much adult help required. Or maybe I'm just lazy?
