Elf or Bad Santa (tho haven't seen it).

lilolilmanchester · 07/12/2008 21:34

Thanks ChristmasDisco (fab name, what is your usual name? Haven't been around much this week, are we all on Christmas names already???)

I haven't seen either of these films... would 15 year old and adults enjoy them too?

Definately Elf! Very funny, and has a good feel-good vibe. Will Ferrell is hilarious in it.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is always my fave too, but it's very early 90s and may not appeal to today's teens.

Fred Claus is quite good.

Or It's a wonderful life is a classic

ClausImWorthIt · 07/12/2008 21:47

Bad Santa is superb - but you may not wish your 11 year old to see it! Depends on how liberal you are with him.

KnickKnackNaNollaig · 07/12/2008 21:48

Have you ever seen Nightmare Before Christmas ?
fabulous film

lilolilmanchester · 07/12/2008 21:59

thanks all, will take a look at your suggestions.

I love Elf, but National Lampoon's is also very funny

It's a Wonderful Life!

The Muppet's Christmas Carol.

janeite · 09/12/2008 19:06

National Lampoon's no good for an 11 year old though is it?

I would echo The Nightmare Before Christmas. Elf is great but if the teen is going through even a vaguely teenage-cynicism phase he/she may not appreciate it as it is totally daft and childish!

lilolilbethlehem · 09/12/2008 19:08

Hope you're feeling better ChristmasDisco.

chuckeyegg · 09/12/2008 19:11

The Muppet Christmas carol gets my vote.
