dd2 is getting tickets to a Chelsea match as a present (lord knows how she became a Chelsea supporter but there you go...)

dd1 doesn;t like football so I'd like to find an equivalent sort of pressie. any ideas? she's into rocks and science and erm...nintendo...needs to be something a bit more than a trip to a museum as we do that quite a lot normally...

Where do you live?

hatwoman · 05/12/2008 15:15

SW London. We're being quite active this year and we're all going ice-skating and to the theatre so can't do one of those just for dd1, iyswim

she likes the countryside and walking too...and animals

What about one of these? There seems to be a range of prices.

Or something like this?

The science museum does sleepovers as well.

ooo thanks Duchesse - they look hopeful. she has just started riding lessons and the place she goes does an own a pony morning - which would have been ideal but we're going to be at fils.

Ooh, what about this? ( I am doing other things as well, just keep having ideas!)

hatwoman · 05/12/2008 15:30

oh lawks that Sience Night thing looks fantastic...she would adore that. fully booked for the next 4 or 5 months though...

oh Chessington looks brilliant too. if I was a proper mother I would have thought of this and booked it in advance...

Would she take a long delay for something really fun? The build-up would be part of the present (cheapskate mum, me... get as much Value as possible out of everything). I'm impressed you're thinking about this far in advance (really really disorganised mama, me)

I'm not sure really. I think it's quite hard for them to wait - and dd2 will be going off to the football on the 28th so ideally me and dd1 would do something the same day...tall order I know. also there's the perpetual fairness thing is a day as a zoo keeper "equivalent" to a football match? dd2 would probably stridently disagree and declare it her worst christmas ever etc etc. (she has a lot of "worst xx ever" moments. they last about three and a hlaf minutes.)
