Help me find a nice doll for my SON

DS is 2 and has a lovely mixture of tastes. He is fascinated by cars, fire engines, cranes, etc, but his favourite colour is pink, he likes things that are "beautiful" and he wants Santa to bring him a doll at Christmas. I'd like to find him a really nice boy doll, preferably one with a real-looking face and not a baby appearance. Can anyone recommend one? I've seen a few on the web, but none that I really liked.

do you have a mothercare near you? There's a lovely one there which has dressing activities on there. It's not on the website unfortunately. It's about £12.99 if irc. There's a girl version and a boy version, there's a blue spotty stroller as well and they're bogohp at the moment.

DS1 had a "spike" doll from ELC, it's basically a rag doll type that has buttons to undo, zips etc to teach them how to dress and undress themselves.
It is stll muchloved and snuggled, though may not be exactly what you want.

There is a large, soft boy doll called Robbie on Argos which I think looks great fun.

DS has the boy doll from Mothercare and he likes it. You can dress and undress him and he comes with a beaker, a potty and a dummy!

May I recommend you buy a hard-bodied doll that can be bathed? Ever since my dd's Baby Annabell met a sticky end at the hands of ds2, I've preferred the bathable variety. Amazon do a surprisingly good selection, at economic-crisis prices. One even has a penis. What's not to like?

It's much cheaper to buy premmie baby boy clothes than it is to buy boy doll clothes.

have boy and girl dolls. I love this website and recommend it loads but don't work for them, honest. Shame really, I buy so much stuff from them I should have shares

I got DS a cheap one from M'care. I figured he'd lose interest in it fairly quickly and I was right!
He still gets him out sometimes, but not often enough to justify £25+.
