What is a bed in a box?

Basically MIL (again ) has gone out and spent quite a bit on our DC's for Christmas without even asking us what they are in to and what they would like.

DS is in to cars and the gifts she has sent over for him all sound/feel like cars - no problem.

But DD has a few less packages, but one huge kind of square thing that seems to be a big square dish shape in green plastic and I can see High School Musical logos on through a couple of small tears in the paper (I have not peaked it was ripped when she gave it to me because it is wrapped to taught and hard to carry because of that)

When you tip it from side to side it makes a soft 'phhhoomp' noise and there seems to be a single, large thing inside that is shifting.

I asked my SIL if she knew what MIL had bought and she said that MIL mentioned a bed in a box what is a bed in a box.

DD is 5 she doesnt go to or have sleep overs, she also has a new cabin bed and a little spongebed chair in her room, so there is little point in her getting another bed thing - if that is what it is. I just cant believe MIL would have got such a thing for a 5 year old instead of a toy or game. I dont want to sound ungrateful but I jsut think when DD sees all DS's new cars, compared to her 'bed' she will be very disapointed.

So does it sound like a bed in a box or am I worrying about nothing

Think I just found it here

A bedroom in a box

Must be it has th green plastic. Wish she had told me as I have just ordered DD a new HSM Duvet set.

Still more use than a ready bed and DD loves cushions and fleeces!

Even if it is a bed in a box... I know DD would be ecstatic - something HSM related is always good for her, it wouldn't occur to her to want a toy instead.

She has never really "got" toys though (she asks for them, but doesn't really play), so she may be unusual!

Yeah I am happier now I have just found a bedroom in a box rather than a bed. DD has gone of HSM a bit and back to her Disney princess's and general role play. But she does love her bedroom and will like having all new soft furnishings. I just suppose I had better send the duvet cover back that I ordered and get the curtains instead!
