Is it worth paying more for a good 'un? (it will be DH and me and the DSs for lunch)

Oh, it is, it is. We got a free-range Kelly Bronze last year. It was MUCH more expensive, I have to say, but a world away from anything we'd had before, and cooked a lot more quickly too.

I also had a free-range Kelly Bronze last year (and was at the price) but found it tasted a lot "gamier" than white turkey.

Think it'll be back to white this year, though I will seek out free-range and organic because chicken reared that way tastes much nicer (as well as being ethical and all that).
