I bought tickets for Selfridges Christmas Grotto & Santa Express but now I think we can't go?

Since I bought them, we decided to go to Lapland UK so feel that much as I am sure it will be nice, the Selfridges grotto tickets aren't really necessary now. Also, we are going away on 23rd so we are having lots of family pre-christmas get togethers in the run up to christmas and a trip to Selfridges is quite a large chunk out of a day that could be spent with family and friends or packing/generally getting ready for the holiday.

Am I being a wet blanket?

no, what will you do with the tickets, will they refund you?

Rhubarb · 01/12/2008 14:04

Why not donate them to the Mumsnet Secret Santa? I'm sure StG knows of someone who would love them - and you'd get a nice warm feeling that you've done something lovely!

I doubt very much I'd get a refund. That's a grand idea Rhubarb - I'll run it by DH tonight and see what he thinks.

not sure what Lapland UK is but did you see this?

IdrisTheDragon · 01/12/2008 14:34

I think the Selfridges Grotto tickets are non-transferable.

kerryk · 01/12/2008 14:40

that article sounds really depressing

hope thats not the one you are going to mckenzie?

Rhubarb · 01/12/2008 14:42

Oh dear, you haven't paid for Lapland UK already have you?

mckenzie · 01/12/2008 21:51

Thanks for the link. Luckily this New Forest thing is something different. We are going to Lapland UK in Kent (DS thinks we are going on a plane to Finland and is going to be so disappointed ).

Who do I need to contact about the Mumsnet Secret Santa please Rhubarb?

ignore the request Rhubard. I got off my backside and searched for a message about secret santa and sent an e mail to St G.

ah, sigh, i just saw this. if anyone does have any tickets they can't use to santa's grotto, i would gladly buy them from you or donate some money to charity, whatever you wish. I would love selfridges (the train thing would excite my son so much), but am open to other ideas. xx
