I'm looking for a simple handheld electronic game for a 5yo?

Is there such a thing? Looking for something quite simple and cheap - not a DS. I remember those games we used to have in the 80s with just a couple of buttons and only 1 screen with perhaps 2 or 3 levels. I can't quite remember what they were like but I seem to remember just going along a path with a few dangers on the way to reach the other side of the screen and get points. Is there anything like that around these days? [old fart emoticon]

Leapster's are fantastic & educational too! DD loves hers- she's 6 & had one since she was 3

Leapster here too. DS had his from age 4 and loved it. Has now progressed to a DS.

dd loved her leapster, she's just about to graduate on to a ds at the age of 7 (and only because my mum has got her a ds for christmas, we'd rather just stick with the leapster!)

Oh was coming on to say Leapster too . We've got 1 for when ds is a bit older.

there is a diego game in asda at theminute. Think it is around £12 so might be worth a look.
