I just wondered if anyone can help....a very kind lady is organising a Christmas Party for our 3yr olds (boys and girls) and i said i would do party games! ....so being Christmas would like them to be...err Christmassy! ...I had an idea of one line boys, one line girls and each passing a balloon to the next person etc...but trying to think of something to do with tinsel! lol! so if anyones got any ideas etc they would be gladly recieved!
oh ment to say sorry if this has already been written about before i did have a quick scroll down but couldnt see anything

How about reindeer tails made out of tinsel and hung out of the back of their trousers. They are then paired up and have to chase each other (assuming there is enough room) to pull the tail off. The chaser then has the tail inserted into the back of their trousers and becomes the chased.

Christmas Musical statues - but when the music stops the adult shouts out what position they adopt eg:

star - children make star jump shape
snowball - they scrunch up into a small ball
soldier - a la nutcracker - stand straight upright with arms by side

I just heard of a game where all the kids lie on the floor and you progressively place smarties/m&m's on their face. The idea is to stay still and whoever ends up with the most on their face wins. Of course they eat them all at the end, but this can last 10 minutes at least, and is a great way to calm down the party.

You could play 'Simon Says' but call it 'Santa Says' instead, I went to recent party with 3-4 year olds who played that for ages. I had a disappointing experience with 'pin the nose on the witch' at a recent halloween party, spent ages drawing a beautiful witch and most of them were too scared/ overexcited to play. Variations on musical bumps/ statues good for that age. Also a Christmasy pass hte parcel.

what are dead lions LOL.. all children lay on the floor pretending to be dead I.e they don't make a sound or move.
you watch and anyone who moves tap them on the shoulder or call their name.. they are then out of the game.. the winner is the last person left.
it is competative being still and quiet!!

wow! thankyou all! ive noted them all down...looks like we're all going to have a great time!
