Help me find a sailing book for BIL

BIL is 43, and very into diving and sailing.

I'd like to get him a non-fiction book, maybe a my-sailing-trimph-on-the-ocean-wave type of affair.

Only ones I can find seem to be a quite my-hellish-near-death-experience, which doesn't seem very Christmassy.

Any ideas?

Try a dive centre, they have books on diving or You could try phoning your local sailing club and ask for recommended book titles, then maybe Waterstones could order it for you.

Hiya, I read this before doing a round the world yacht race, it's brilliant. Not nearly as terrifying as you'd think, just an amazing story of how a family survived a sinking mid ocean. Just incredible.

fatal storm is also a great book, about the horrendous sydney hobart race in 1998, lots of tragedy but amazing stories of survival too.

I'm not really into disasters at sea, but I find the Ellen MacArthur types a bit tedious.

As a (retired sort of) scuba instructor, this book looks lovely would have me yearning to get under water again soon
