Hi there!Ive just discovered the vsmile baby by vtech and think its great my ds is 20mths old and Im sure he would love it...the thing is the other vsmiles for older children seem to be usable without the tv which would be more ideal..is there one suitable for under 3s that can be used handheld?Does anyone have one of the handheld vsmiles and do they think I could get it for my ds whos not yet two?Or does anyone have the vsmile baby?Im worried itll be a bit babyish for him as it can be used from 9mths. Thanks for any info or advice

Leapfrog are much better! DD had a LeapPad (age 4+) from the age of 2 & a Leapster at 2 1/2 & I recommend them both! Don't worry too much about the ages on them, go for where your child is at- if he can recognise some of his letters already the LeapPad or Tag would be perfect! Still use ours now DD is 6...
The new versions (tag & leapster 2) also look good

We have the VSMILE and the VSMILE baby. Just sold the baby as DD2 (now 24 months) has outgrown it. She now uses her elder sister's VSMILE main console. She does the simple games such as Dora (where you can't be killed etc). However, she is still too young to use her sister's handheld VSMILE. That is way too difficult for her at the mo.
