Where can I get a good fake Christmas tree?

Last year we spent £50 on a real Christmas tree and we have decided to go down the fake tree route this year to save us some money.

So where can we get a good realistic-looking fake Christmas tree that will last us for a few years?

i am trying to sel mine atm!! it was 35 down to 25 in tesco last year. as real as i could afford iyswim.
there are some fab ones out there, like in some local garden centre typeplaces. They can be very pricek, but say £100 would get you a very authentic looking one.

i'm afraid i missed the pine smell, and the 'outdoorsy' feel of a real one last year tho.

I just got a pre lit 6ft tree from woolies for £28.

if you have a good sized garden centre near you it may be worth checking there. In my experience if you want to spend good money, getting a decent fake tree that will give you a few years good service you need to see them in the flesh before you buy.
Last one i bought was £100, but it was a big tree because i had the room for it.
i looked at loads that seemed to be over-priced for their quality.

John Lewis has some nice ones.

I went to look at some at Homebase today and noticed that you have to assemble them. Are they easy to assemble? The one I really liked was £79. Ideally I would like to spend much less than that.

They are easy to assemble, pain in the arse, but easy.

We got ours from homebase, was about £100 i think. Its very nice and real(ish) looking, better than the £7 Asda one we had when we 1st moved into together lol.

I bought mine from B&Q, it was easy to assemble, not too big and cheap enough.

First one and it's looking great!
