Where can I find the best deal for a Wii and what do I need to get with it?

Thinking of doing a Wii as family pressie from FC this year, but there seem to be so many deals on them out there that it is confuzzling me! I'm not very up on me games console whatsits and don't want to ask DH as I want it to be a surprise! HELP!!! (pretty please )

I had to pick my husband's Wii up from the Post Office on the way home from work yesterday!

Got mine from play dot com - just under £200. Came with 2 games.

The best games for Wii by a country mile are MarioKart (you need to buy extra wheels though, game only comes with 1) and the basic Wii Sports (which I think it comes with anyway).

So it always comes with the Wii sport thing?

£200 seems pretty good for the console and 2 games and a racing one may be good for a family of boys/men (apart from me of course)

The site I mentioned had the Sports as standard plus a couple of other choices of additional games - I got Star Wars as DH is a huge fan!

Hmm yes our 3 and 5 yr olds are huge fans too, but I'm not so!

Squirdle - I hate driving/blokey games but it is great fun. Cartoony graphics and simple controls. A great family game, we are me, DH, DS1 16, DS2 15 & DD 6 so the game appeals to all ages and abilities across the board.

We almost always end up on it when we've got mates over and had one too many too !

We got ours from Blockbuster for £179.99. It came with 2 games (MarioKart and Fifa 09).

Yes the Mario one looks good, think we'd all like that!

we got ours from www.shopto.net in the summer, not looked lately but they were the best deal by far then.. free next day delivery too.

I am really unbothered about comp games too squirdle, but the wii games even get me up playing - especially as you can make your own characters.. & mine looks just like me which makes the boys laugh every time i appear on the screen!

Just got Wii AND wii fit and balance board from shoptonet for 239.00 inc next day delivery.

I've just seen in ToysrUs a wii with the sports games thing, Mario Kart, 2 steering wheels and 2 controllers for £254. Is this good? I'm thinking it is.....
