DD is going next week with MIL. MIL did have a list of what clothing they provide but now I can't find it. Does anyone know what clothing she needs and what she's provided with? We have most stuff anyway but am trying to keep packing down if she doesn't need her own stuff.

Thanks.

Hi I wrote on another thread similar to this the other day, I worked in lapland with esprit christmas 2005. Its amazing there. are they going to saariselka??
Make sure they have layers. Tights are good.
Hat, gloves, scarf and warm socks.... dont want to get to warm though as when they are hot and hit the ice the sweat will freeze and make them colder!!!!
Pack a torch as its dark and spare batteries (for camera or torch) wrapped up as the cold will make the batteries go down VERY quick and they wont be able to get those nice photos. If use moisuriser dont used water based as this will freeze and obviously turn them cold.
Clothes wise they give you the full all in one snow suit and snow boots, they did have spare hats and gloves just incase but take your own, you dont need to much just thin clothing that you can use for layering. Id say a balaclava for dd if youv got 1. They eat alot of reindeer so if there not sure of this make sure you request veggie option! Hope that helps. Anything else just ask :-)

Oh What hotel are they staying in or are they in one of the lovely hidden chalets?

Yeh reindeer! they have a kebab shop but the meet is reindeer, on the activity day the guests are offered spaghetti (or they did when i was there) but the meats actually reindeer, not sure if people were always told! lol I only ever had the veggie option but apparently it was really nice meat, brought some reindeer pate home for my mum but she wasnt to impressed!!!

we went last year, dd2 was 3 older dd was 8, it was fab, but actually not as cold as supected, they give you thermal suits, wooly socks, hats and special gloves, but our children preferred own ski gloves, we put a vest, followed by a polo neck on top and tights followed by leggings and our own socks on ht ebottom half, we all cooked !!! hats and scarves and waterproof gloves. food was very nice, children got spagetti and lots of bread, adults got delicious salmon during the activity day, the pther days we went to the esprit gala dinner (cringe) but again food good and kids loved the show, and our hotel did buffet meals so load sof choice.
