Feathers - try The Works or similar discount book/craft stores - you can get 12" multi-coloured feathers with good sized stems for about £1 a pack. Get a cheap crown (burger king style) and stick feathers all round it, or use a hairband or similar to attach feathers to.

The tail - tie a big clump of feathers together at the base and either sew to the base of the polo neck or attach to elastic and put the elastic round his waist.

fab tail idea and easy to do. Not impressed with school as it's a costume you can't buy and feathers can be quite expensive!

I know, I've seen some weird requests for costume stuff recently - a Christmas turkey earlier today, for example. What do schools expect of parents nowadays lol?! I have it all to come with ds.
