Are they any good? do they swim well, or drown after a few strokes?

MIL has bought for DD for Xmas , think it's novelty will last for 10 mins!

whoingodsnamewasi · 26/11/2008 23:24

Yes, thats what I am worried about, plus I know I will be forced into running a bath xmas morning so she can play with it.

lol yes hadn't thought of that

dd wanted one of these I decided FC would probably not have any so have warned her many times and steered her away from it when talking about things she'd like for christmas!

I think it'll be a 10 min thing too. And it's not exactly cheap!

She won't be getting one!! All it is, is the bloody tv ad, she doesn't really want it. In the last few days it's been something else she wants, thankfully

Someone on here posted an Amazon link following a request from me as my DD3 has asked for it. It had two customer reviews, both very negative - they said it was useless essentially. I won't be bothering with it.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2008 12:01

save it as a special "bonus present" late in the day to stop the morning bath issue

tissy · 27/11/2008 12:04

dd has asked for it, and I have bought it, as the other thing on her list was a real live puppy! If it is crap, it will be a salutary lesson in how toys aren't necessarily all they're cracked up to be!

Good idea flamesparrow, am already keeping the huge craft set that is a joint present back til boxing day, cant be doing with that mess on xmas day along with everything else

We gave ds3 one for his 4 birthday. tbh I expected it to be plastic crap and wasn't going to get it, but then thought - well it is what he wants - not like whatever I would pick would actually be played with any more!

It is quite good - swims in the bath and has been taken swimming once. Also walks amusingly. Doesn't sink.
