Anyone have a good christmas album with a mix of old and newer xmas songs on?

I want a good xmas album to start churning out in the car.

I want a mix of old classics but i want some cheese (Like Mariyah Carey - All i want for Xmas)

Deffinatley must have Fairytale of New York or what ever its called (you know the one)

Suggestions please.

We've had ours in the car for a few weeks. We tend to like oldie ones (my dad played them on christmas morning so reminds me of that)

Some are -

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

White Christmas

It's beginning to look a like christmas

Ther's no place like home for the holidays (my favourite)

Silver bells

Santa Claus is coming to town (with beginning intro - I just got back from a lovely trip, along the milky way....)

Here comes Santa Claus (right down Santa Claus lane...)

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus

Walking in a winter wondeland (another favourite)

Frosty The Snowman

Oh come all ye faithful

Little Drummer Boy (Bing Crosy & David Bowie)

Hark The Herald Angels Sing (another favourite)

and then all the more usual modern one, which I'm sure others will mention. Those above I think are more rare to find in shop compilations.

We have the NOW Christmas album and that seems to have a mix of old and new songs. It has 3 separate discs of music.

I ahve one called - wait for it - Crooners at Christmas. it's Bing,Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra etc. It's great, will try and find a link to it

oops sorry - not an album. Just a cd of songs we downloaded.

If you want oldie one, look for Bing Crosby sings christamss, swing christmas etc for traditional ones - usually about a fiver, so not as expensive as new compilations...

I love 'Cool Christmas'. You can get it on Amazon. Has 'Fairy Tale of New York' and 'Driving Home for Christmas'. Oooh must put it on NOW.
