Remote control boats for a 6 year old?

Can anyone recommend one? We have an old-fashioned boating lake near the house and he wants to move on from his sailboat but inevitable I suppose!

Aw! Dh lets ds's sale some of his smaller sailboats at local boat pond, and I think the remote controllers pray that the wind will drop so they can 'rescue' them! Gives them something to do.

Dh was given a cheap remote control boat which ds's use too - main issue seems to be that with only one or two radio bands, you can't stand too close to anyone else or signals cross/fail. Think that boats with several radio bands are quite expensive (too expensive for 6 yr old? I'm guessing here!)
