I wanted to get some games for DC that we could all play together. I've just ordered snakes and ladders but wondered if anyone could recommend any more?

Frustration.
Tooth Fairy Game.

CarGirl · 25/11/2008 17:38

Noddy merry go round game

ramonaquimby · 25/11/2008 17:38

lots of the orchard toy games would be good for that age, and to play together or just with you
www.orchardtoys.com/

Boots often do them in their 3 for 2 offers

Not quite board games but my two love playing elefun, buckaroo, noddy and kerplunk together. My eldest (also 5) loves the monopoly game (now £5 in woolies). HTH

piscesmoon · 26/11/2008 15:02

I don't know if it is still about, but Coppit is good.

MilaMae · 26/11/2008 16:26

My lot 5,5 nearly 4 love Cariboo,Hullabaloo,Hiss and Orchard games Shopping List. They're having Tummy Ache for Xmas Eve.

stardazzle · 26/11/2008 16:27

would really recommend cranium balloon lagoon. Both my girls (3.5 and 6) love playing this and as an adult its good to play too.

Berylsbabe · 26/11/2008 16:37

Try www.gamestack.co.uk they have a great selection of games and you can search board games by age (though I've always found my kids pick up rules and play even if they are not of the age on the box).

northender · 26/11/2008 16:40

Agree with Shopping List and Tummy Ache from orchard toys. These have been firm favourites with my two at similar ages.

lilolilmanchester · 26/11/2008 16:53

Mine loved insey winsey spider game, simple and ideal for both 3.5 and 5 year old to play together.

MadameCastafiore · 26/11/2008 16:59

Quack Shot is a fave of my 2 - 4 and 8yrs.

BirdyArms · 26/11/2008 17:05

Hungry Hippos is very popular with my 3.5 yo and is easy for him to play with friends without adult supervision. Shopping list is also a favourite

cornsilk · 26/11/2008 17:07

Thomas the Tank round the rails is good and easy to understand.

HappyMummyOfOne · 26/11/2008 19:40

We have most of the orchard range of games, all great fun and compact boxes to store. Very well made and minimal set up.

bythepowerofgreyskull · 26/11/2008 19:46

my son is 4.5 and has loved this for the last year or so and still likes playing with it.

MilaMae · 26/11/2008 20:01

Greyskull my lot 5,5 and nearly 4 are the same. Whenever we have kids over they all ask for it. Wish they made little cards to add to it for when they get older.

Fillyjonk · 26/11/2008 20:06

Pass the bomb junior.

laughinglil · 27/11/2008 09:30

nobody has mentioned pop up pirate? brilliant game for young children. Even if my ds does play it wrong..lol! He thinks if you make the pirate pop up you are the winner.. but that doesn't matter you can play it either way.

Fillyjonk · 27/11/2008 20:16

soundtrack boardgames?

haba ones are really really good ime. we get a new family game every xmas and haba is the one that consistantly delivers. They are pricey but play value is so huge! And they LOOK nice.
