sun jar
or is that too hippi-ish

AttillaTheHan · 23/11/2008 20:17

Obvious question but what does he like? What kind of 'cool'is he? Surfer type / emo/ designer clothes type etc etc.

Knowing that will make it easier to work out what you could get him.

itunes voucher is probably most universal and practical thing to get. But in my opinion a bit boring.

That said I would probably get him the voucher if you are stuck about what else you could get him.

SammyK · 23/11/2008 20:22

what is a sun jar??

He is into smart, expensive clothing, likes FCUK, for example. My budget for nieces and nephews is £10, but have money in the pot from other presents being below budget, don't want to go over £20, as other DNs may notice!

Don't think he has a digi camera so frame out though good idea!

I usually buy him fcuk smellies but want soemthing different this year.

I buy my teenage nephews a t-shirt - O'neil or Plain Lazy for example. Always seems popular with them and can usually find them reduced at this time of year.

Oh and a kid's selection box of choccies

yogabird · 23/11/2008 20:24

another vote for the iTunes voucher

anyfucker · 23/11/2008 20:27

cool beanie hat from places like O'Neill

popsycal · 23/11/2008 20:34

sun jar

mabanana · 23/11/2008 20:34

Any converse, a personalised engraved iPod,ipod shuffle

What's your budget?

Lindax · 23/11/2008 23:08

t-shirt with favorite band goes down well with my heavy metal loving 15yr old nephew.

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 24/11/2008 00:01

Check out Yoox dot com for reductions of FCUK items. They are "designer" outlet type online store.

Converse would be cool but over your budget. iTunes voucher would surely go down well but as others have said, perhaps a little predictable. Have you tried asking him if there is a particular CD or item he would like? IME, most teenagers would rather be asked than faced with embarrassment of having to pretend to like a gift

A 2 man tent ready for and all the gigs he is bound to go to.

anyfucker · 24/11/2008 17:08

trixymalixy · 24/11/2008 17:32

I have an Oakley cap (still in bag and with tag on) that I bought for DH in London and when I got it home didn't fit. Couldn't change it as they said only place I could return it was the store in Covent Garden where I bought it and not been back.
It cost £16.99 new - you could have it for £12 if you're interested.... will try and find link so you can see it. It's very cool and trendy, grey. Would give to teenager for present if I had one in the family!
