DC want a Wii and Wii fit for christmas but i cant afford to buy until payday on Friday-do i stand any chace of getting one ??

Yes i know we should have saved and we did-but just had a huge unexpected bill for car so i have to wait until Fri before i can look at buying one .

The Wii is easy enough I think but not the Wii Fit. You might have to hang around Game or Gamestation until their stocks arrived. I got a Wii a month ago not problem, from Gamestation but no Wii Fit.

The real price of them is £70 but they had packages for £112 with Wii Fit in them and I declined. Looked on line and in every shop I could think of for a week - no luck. Then we went out for the day to another town and happened to go into Game there on the off chance, not expecting much and they had just had some in and were expecting to sell out by the end of the day. I was very pleased although slightly tempted to sell it on ebay as even second hand ones were going for £80+. I didn't though.

Depends too on whether you are prepared to pay a bit over the odds or not. You can get all sorts of packages if you are willing to pay.

You might actually be at an advantage because you're looking for the Wii and Wii Fit. We got ours about a month after they came out when they were still like gold dust, for some reason Gamestation were selling them as a bundle when no one had separate Wii Fits in stock. I found the stockist here. Gamestation get bad reviews btw, and utterly failed to communicate, but one day a lovely box full of Wii-y goodness just turned up!

There are various bundles around, some are a Wii Fit with a case and a charger or somesuch, but you should be able to figure out which those are from the price (clue: much cheaper than Wii + Wii Fit!) But if the bundle contains a Wii and a Wii Fit then you're sorted (they usually contain at least one other game). The only extra hardware we've bought is an extra controller (I was a bit worried when we got ours that there was some vital bit that didn't come with the package, but no).

just a thought...you can reserve at argos, and then not pick it up for another two days i think...you may be able to bagsy one that way!

Well i`ve just been offerred a wii console wii fit 54 games and 4 controllers for 340.00 from ebay-all new.
Is that a good deal ? x

Not great but OK. When Gamestation had them in the Wii Console and Wii Fit (with the standard Wii Sport) was £250. However, that probably only comes with one controller and I think they are about £20 to £25 each so to get what you are getting is £325 max.

I don't know if they still do the offer but the bundle I got was a Wii, Wii Sport and Wii Play for £180 (2 controllers) and then I bought Wii Fit for £70. The more I think about it the more smug pleased I feel.

£340 is OK so long as the postage isn't £30 on top. And at least you know you will have it in time for Christmas.

Much more likely to get them as part of a bundle.. I just wanted the Wii Fit but there was no way, unless I wanted to pay over the odds, or bundle up. I actually got a wii fit, a game & a rechargeable battery pack for £105, so not that bad I don't think (argos)

Not checked all the sites lately but when we got my SIL a wii for her birthday (DH was having a generous moment) shopto.net was definitely the cheapest.

NOT STRICTLY RELEVANT TO THIS POST BUT MAY BE HELPFUL TO OTHERS, RE WII FIT SINGLE ITEM: when I went in Argos the other week to try & get a single Wii Fit, I was told that they weren't going to be having any in stores till after Christmas, as soon as they're in the country, they go out on home delivery orders, or stuck into bundles, so it sounds like there won't be any of these in Argos at all (so long as she was telling the truth obviously)

register with wii-consoles dot co dot uk and they will email you when items come into stock from a variety of sources. We got a Wii for DCs last year using this system. Everywhere was sold out (Stoopid DH left it until 2nd week of December to look - was "his" present). But within a day or so we had notification of stock at Argos and said Wii was purchased . And DH breathed a huge sigh of relief and realised Mrs JS was correct in telling him to get off his bum several weeks before to go DC present shopping

I'm selling my Wii fit, if you have a look on the for sale board (video games) you'll see it there x
