I'm desperate for ideas!!!!

What are you buying, what does it cost and can I copy you please?

OP posts:
basementbear · 22/11/2008 21:02

That's easy - nothing! It's free, you don't have to fight your way through crowded, overheated shops for it and it's eco-friendly! Feel free to copy
BTW he is not getting me anything either!!

bevlongy · 22/11/2008 21:06

nothing very exciting.. some smellies from body shop (his faves), stand up comedian dvd, itunes card from boys as he's always buying music, a personalised football t-shirt from www.soccerprint.co.uk & a digital photo keyring
..though now I've written it all down, it sounds like way more than we said we'd spend, so the keyring might go to mum in law after all!! lol

jenk1 · 22/11/2008 21:07

call of duty for the xbox 360
Godfather trilogy
new pjs

bevlongy · 22/11/2008 21:09

oops didn't put prices..

Body shop smellies were free as I got them when i hosted a body shop party as part of my goodies, but should've been about £20
DVD was £13
Itunes card £15
T-Shirt £12 (inc p & p) though code save10 at checkout gets you 10% off!
Digital keyring £15 from Tesco direct

We've collectively (on my credit card - lol) bought a wii fit for everyone, hence why we're not meant to be going mad!

DesperateHousewifeToo · 22/11/2008 21:20

So far a couple of work shirts.

Will get some of the toiletries he uses- just for something to open!

Toying with buying a wii for him and dc's together but have not ordered one yet.

Will probably get him some more clothes if I do not go for wii.

Oh and a wash bag and some new head phones for his radio.

DesperateHousewifeToo · 22/11/2008 21:23

Actually the dab portable radio (with rechargable battery) was a best present from his birthday.

He listens to loads of sport as we do not have sky.

nicand2 · 22/11/2008 21:34

I'm thinking of getting DH one of those baby bi orb aquariums to keep in his office. I'm hoping it will involve lots of post xmas trips to pet shops etc with the dc's!

A watch not expensive but he already saw it in the shop and said he really liked it. So I sneaked back.
Toiletries and some jelly babies.
Not much and I know he is going to spend a fair bit on me but he has more money than me and doesn't have two kids . (He doesn't live with me)

cherryontopofthexmastree · 23/11/2008 23:57

trainers(£49)
smellies(£10)
cordless screwdriver(£15)
silk boxers(£15)
socks, keyring, toblerone, mug etc for stocking.

skramble · 23/11/2008 23:59

Think I might do a little stocking .

mymama · 24/11/2008 00:24

A playstation portable - 150 pounds.

He commutes 2 hours per day on the train and he can use it to play games, watch movies/tv shows or listen to music.

Far more expensive then what I usually spend but my dh NEVER spends money on anything and I feel guilty because I do.

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 24/11/2008 00:39

What I will be getting him
Various books from his Amazon wishlist

What I won't be getting him
Dexy's Midnight Runners CD (It was on his Amazon wishlist - has he gone MAD?)

What the children will be getting him
Cookery lessons from DD1

My DH is very cheap to buy for, all he ever asks for is a BJ

cremolafoam · 24/11/2008 17:36

a Haynes manual for his honda motorbike
some bottle brushes as he constantly complains we don't have any [WTF?]
