Replica footie strips - Man City - anyone got sizing advice

My DS is an average height skinny 7.5yo. I'm wondering how the strips compare to school uniform sizes. Novice to footie strips! At school he wears 28/30 tops and 26/28 shorts, but wonder if the strips are more generous. Rang the club but they were pretty unhelpful, which given the cost of thwe bloomin' thing was a bit annoying!

Not sure but we're one nil up!

jojosmaman · 22/11/2008 15:52

But I think they are generous, my ds (21mths ave toddler size) can still fit into his age 6-12mths shorts

On tenterhooks here. Ds always devastated if we lose! the stresses of being a City supporting family! Thanks for the sizing advice.

My nephews have found that they come up rather small, but then we are rather statuesque (or should I say Richard Dunne-like) in our family.

If it helps, the adult City shirts are a very good size and don't come up small at all. Dh would vouch for this if he wasn't at Eastlands watching at his beloved Blues whoop my equally beloved Gooners collective ass

Just remembered that dd1 has a couple of shirts and been to check their sizes. She is a very tall but skinny 6yo and can still fit into the age 2-3 - even if it is a bit short... - so I would say that they are definitely quite generous!

Crikey i never realised there were other blues on here! My ds only 3 so in toddler sizes. The only advice i can ofer is that we've found them to be quite long in toddlers sizes in comparison to width (strange as ds is tall and skinny but even abit odd on him).Robinho's goal is meant to be abit special! I'll look forward to MOTD!

Lucycat · 22/11/2008 17:48

oooh there are loads of Blues on here! as for the shirts I'd say they are fairly generous too, certainly the adult ones are.

It'll make a change being able to atch MOTD and maybe we'll be on first instead of a short embarrassing clip at 12.30am

Sets us up nicely for next weekend

feedthegoat · 22/11/2008 17:54

Lets hope so

jojosmaman · 22/11/2008 18:25

We are the first (long) game on football first I think for anyone who has sky!? DP just got back and said that the Robinho goal was very special indeed (but he has also been injured, and with the derby next week ) (Robinho I mean, not DP, he will be fit for the derby!!)

Lucycat · 22/11/2008 18:53

perhaps your dp will get a game then if he's fit

feedthegoat · 22/11/2008 19:06

hey doesn't seem that long ago that he might have been in with a chance if he could lace up his own boots

All these city supporters on MN. Wow! DH away this w/e so v.v. happy City won as DS gets so upset when we lose. He is toughing up a bit when we lose - we've been telling him he'll need to if he siupports City! Thanks to you all - well done Herbietea for chancing it on enemy territory! Most of DS school support utd. so next wk. should be interesting in the playground after the derby. We live in devon so DS pretty alone in his support!! Thanks for shirt advice.
