I got my DD one from Tesco couple years ago for about £10!

Having just paid £50 for a Thomas engine shed, my friend has one from Tesco's for about a tenner . Ikea also has very good bargains on trains and track. Will be watching with interest...

i got the 'imaginative play' i think, train set, table and trains... it was a 2 xmas's ago though, when DS was only just 1... He plays with it every day still though... was £100 for the whole lot which we thought was a bargain!!! was from Toys R Us- not seen them anywhere else.

Ikea! The train tracks fit on to the wooden Brio tracks, so we mix and match.

Tesco.

Woolies sells a little set from Chad Valley.

Tesco stills sells the one mentioned for a tenner.

We have bits from Tesco, Ikea, Toys r Us and somewhere else I can't recall and they all fit together fine. Tesco seems to be about the cheapest though and has some good rip-offs of the Brio station, engine shed and bridges too.

I am slightly obsessed at the moment with wooden trains and tracks!! We have some basic bits from Ikea and Tesco but are collecting more bits for Christmas. I was in Tesco today and got some bridges, sheds and battery operated engines which were very reasonable! I've got some more bridges and stuff off ebay and I got this but with £10 off! I must stop getting bits or else there will be no room to put it up!! (I then made the mistake of wandering into a fab toy shop with lovely wooden stuff ...was very good and didn't buy anything!!)
