I would,

id just say to your sister that rather than getting them something each for £10 you wanted to get this jointly.

Id be happy with that.

My sister is getting my sons a joint present (a £30 wii game) and they arent twins!

throckenholt · 20/11/2008 10:48

mine would have loved it at that stage.

Shared presents are fine (in my experience ) just so long as not everyone does it.

Make sure the parents know it was a deliberate choice to pool resources so that they could have something better that they would both enjoy and hopefully play with together sometimes.

throckenholt · 20/11/2008 10:48

p s- mine are boys and would still have loved it

mamadiva · 20/11/2008 10:48

oops - missed the bit about them being your sisters - in that case - I would just check with your mum first - but you should at least know if they will like it

EnchantedwithEdwardCullen · 20/11/2008 10:53

Oops! Sorry, i thought you meant they are your sister kids!

I think its a lovely present between them

MilaMae · 20/11/2008 11:08

As a mum of twins I find mine fight more over a separate item each than a big shared eg Playmobil hospital between all 3 great success, wooden farm great success but when one had Playmobil ambulance the other the medical helicopter major rows.

It's lovely I'd check that they have the space for it and maybe suggest they need some princessy figures to go with it as those seem a bit flat but it's a great idea.
