Have spent a few weeks getting things bit by bit, and i am sick to death as have looked at too many glittery things, plates, roasting trays, balls, nuts etc...

I need to switch off from it. I love love love xmas, but this yr the build up seems longer than EVER!!!!

I think its a tacky gold plate you put a turkey on .

Goober · 19/11/2008 19:05

A big, fat, glittery, twinkly, jingly slap in the face for you all.

It's nearly christmas.

Othersideofthechannel · 19/11/2008 19:06

Only started thinking about it on Monday and I am really excited!

SmallShips · 19/11/2008 19:10

I kept saying to anyone who would listen i would be glad i was so organised as i could spend December eating quality streets not panic buying, but now i have the inlaws down for 3 weeks and an intensive driving course. Its going to be a stressful month!

piratecat · 19/11/2008 19:13

i wish i could do that, start thinking about it at a more relevant time.

i also keep seeing cheapo chocs, and things, but i can't buy them, as i will eat them. U

AND there was no cheapo Baileys in my 30 miles round trip to Morrisons today.

I only do bargains
gah

I know what you mean. I am getting bored of it already. Before it has even started!

blossomsmine · 19/11/2008 21:03

I'm not bored at all. I started buying quite late this year, i have only had one proper Christmas shopping trip so far, got quite alot in that day though. I pop round the shops each Sunday whilst i am waiting for my dd to do her dance class and then i will look for the odd Christmas present/thing. But apart from that i haven't been shopping much so i am still feeling quite excited about Christmas and I haven't seen all the sparkly/over the top Christmas stuff too much yet!!

wheresthehamster · 19/11/2008 21:05

I can't believe people start this early!

I haven't even thought about anything - food, presents, where we're going, who's coming etc. I start the first week in December never before.

Othersideofthechannel · 20/11/2008 06:29

Where's the hamster. I have family in the USA so I have to think about it mid-nov otherwise their gifts wouldn't always arrive on time.

And then of course I get ideas for other people.

Buda · 20/11/2008 06:35

I have ordered a few things on line and bought a few new Xmas decorations and been looking through Xmas food magazine etc. Going to London tomorrow for Xmas shopping and the MN meetup and expect to start in feel more Xmassy then.

So I am not fed up just yet!

Just back from ordering my duck from M&S for picking up christmas eve.
Whilst in there noticed 20% off everything. Got 6 gifts for £10.50.

mumeeee · 20/11/2008 22:39

That's why I don't start doing any Christmas Shopping until November.
