my parents are getting him batmobile

he will be getting some sort of walle thing from inlaws and some playmobil from other in laws

IllegallyBrunette · 18/11/2008 14:01

Ds is getting mainly Clone Wars/Star wars stuff.

Oh and I want to get him a huge box of Lego.

pickie · 18/11/2008 14:02

My DS likes puzzles(jig swas),they do Ben 10 ones as well

He is absolutely mad about the game Guess Who and also likes Lego but Ben 10 is top of the list

schneebly · 18/11/2008 14:04

clone wars, transformers, spiderman anything!

agree with lego - also things like games, top trumps, books, costumes.

schneebly · 18/11/2008 14:05

In The Entertainer I saw a very cool Guess Who Marvel Heroes edition for about £7.50 I think

wideratthehips · 18/11/2008 14:05

we recently got the pictureka game and you can play an easier version for smaller children...great fun, also phirana (?) panic is fun

IllegallyBrunette · 18/11/2008 14:06

Will have pretend didn't read that Scneebly. I keep going shopping, buying things that are not on the list and then adding them and crossing them out with a satisfied grin lol.

dragonseye · 18/11/2008 14:06

my ds (5) is getting the following:

dr who playing cards
junior scrabble
downfall
bucket of lego
worm world
binoculars
game for nintento ds
childrens personal cd walkman thing with microphone (argos)

hannahsaunt · 18/11/2008 14:13

Would you like ds2s list (he's 5):

Vanpirz costume
Strwowrs litsavr
Strworws deeveedee
Power ranger operation overdrive phone (he asked for help with that one)
Rasan crs
Ras chrac
Doctr who lasr scroo jrivr
Ben 10 wosh
Sibrmen helmit
Raven costume

Decipher that and you may have some clues to the mind of a 5yo

PS no idea where knowledge of vanpirz has come from

cece · 18/11/2008 14:19

Star Wars toys

Othersideofthechannel · 18/11/2008 14:21

DS is five and last night he said he was going to ask FC for a remote controlled car (which is exactly what he's going to get) and some glow stars and a pot of black paint to decorate his ceiling like the night sky. We will be getting the glow stars but not the paint

chunkychips · 18/11/2008 14:22

hannahsaunt - lol at that, is that a raving costume?! and love the race track one.

schneebly · 18/11/2008 14:30

hannahsaunt - your DS's spelling looks a lot like my DS1's! Made me

hannahsaunt · 18/11/2008 14:30

No - it's costume in the style of Raven from CBBC. He knows fine rightly that Santa isn't realy but said with a twinkle in his eye on learning that the sourcing of a Raven costume may be beyond the wit of any gift giver, "Ah but mummy - Santa can make anything"...

Buda · 18/11/2008 14:53

wideratthehips - (great name!) just looked at that set on the Lego website and it is MUCH cheaper than Amazon - 69.99!!!!

wideratthehips · 18/11/2008 15:48

its bonkers though...who would pay that much?...the one i bough from amazon for £50 was direct from them and free postage...i seriously doubt anyone would pay that much....the correct price is £69.99 as you say..everyone seems to hike prices up at christmas

selby · 18/11/2008 18:57

Lego City Fire station from his grannie.
We're getting him a Trunki and some small sets of Lego/Playmobil from the recent 1/2 price Sainsburys' toy sale. I also decided to buy the deluxe Ben 10 omnitrix due to it being 1/2 price. The Ben 10 DVD is out - obviously not brilliant for adults but great for 5 yr old Ben 10 fans. BTW, DS harped on about the exact Batmobile for months before his autumn birthday. (Obviously, too much CITV!)Anyway, I bought it at £19.99 having tracked it on Amazon. What can I say, it's a big piece of plastic which he lost interest in, in less than a week after wanting it desperately for 3/4 mths. Lego has definitely more play value.

Stinkyfeet · 18/11/2008 23:25

Transformers Optimus Prime
Power Rangers
Disney Cars

Stinkyfeet · 18/11/2008 23:46

Have just been reminded by another thread ... marble run

lunavix · 19/11/2008 11:29

lol!

hannahsaunt I'm laughing at
Doctr who lasr scroo jrivr
snap

have so far got ds (nearly 5)
one of them blue kids cameras
cheapy remote controlled dalek

and some stocking bits including
sonic screwdriver
harry potter wand
dino egg
thomas train (obscure wooden one)
thomas playdo (obscure train)

He wants
he's asked for a lightning mcqueen toy with a 'button' think its the one with wings off tv. Don't know that he's getting it though lol
He's asked for the doctor who scene it game which he has no chance for as it's too hard by miles. Trouble is there's no decent doctor who toys or games really apart from the odd dalek

He's getting
a bike (meant to be his main present) he wants the ben 10 one but I'm worried it will be too small as it's only 14". He's diddy but want it to last a while. Plus would much rather he had some no name nicer (cheaper!) one lol
some lego or meccano... there's the 4+ meccano set in argos but wonder if it's too babyish. Figured might get him a big tub of basic lego and then move him on to some specific stuff for his birthday
Sea monkeys (if we cope might get the pirate fish tank for his birthday!)

scattyspice · 19/11/2008 12:55

Power Ranger sword thingy.
Batmobile.

Pinkchampagne · 19/11/2008 13:00

My 5 year old DS is getting a little tikes digetal video camera (down to £39.99 from £80), a playmobil plane, a Wall-E transformer, a flashing scooter from my mum, and he really wants (but isn't getting as have no space for it in this house!) a hornby train set.

tassisssss · 19/11/2008 14:05
