girlandboy · 12/11/2008 13:12

mazzystartled · 12/11/2008 13:12

christmas?
when is it again?

QueenofAllWildThings · 12/11/2008 13:13

I've got DS a DVD... that's it so far.

sammybeth · 12/11/2008 13:14

Ive done all mine too

cmotdibbler · 12/11/2008 13:15

I've done my mum, dad, SIL1, a few things for DS, my Gt Aunt and DH's GM. DH put his dads present on a 3 year recurrance, so thats done too.
This is a blardy world record here as normally we run round frantically at the end of December

OrmIrian · 12/11/2008 13:17

I hate shopping. I love christmas but hate shopping. So I get it out of the way asap so I can then enjoy the nice stuff in peace. I can get on with making decs with the DC, cooking, making pickles. We will have one shopping trip to see the lights, perhaps buy some crackers, have tea somewhere. But no stressful 'oh bugger what about Uncle Bill?' hassles. Twill be lovely

I suspect I am sounding even more smug now....

I have 2 more presents to get (know what I'm getting) but everything else is wrapped. So feel quite smug.

Cadelaide · 12/11/2008 13:34

Well I do hope you supported all of your local traders Orm, none of this online nonsense

dmo · 12/11/2008 13:36

bought everything bar the wine for grandparents (cant buy it now as i will drink it)
but its not wrapped up i nip over to my friends on 23rd december to wrap my own childrens stuff up as its all shashed over there, but as for everybody elses i have wrote down what i have got everyone and hid it in a spare space in my room i only wrap them when the tree goes up cause we put all the gifts to other people under our tree

Weegle · 12/11/2008 13:38

ditto - it's very liberating isn't it knowing that you don't have to go near a town centre again till January. I'm going to Bluewater tonight just because I need a new pair of shoes, but I don't need to buy a single present and that feels good

OrmIrian · 12/11/2008 14:16

Erm cadelaide...

If local traders offered something more than chain store sh*t I might do! I do patronise some good independent shops (we've already discussed Acorns) Number One, some of the market stalls, but mostly ol I'm afraid.

Well tbh I think anyone would struggle to do their Christmas shopping in our town. It always amuses me that we don't even get a "pound shop", oh no, we have a 99p shop .

Speaking of online shopping though, I've had a much better result from Letterbox this year, should anyone be considering them. I ordered some personalised stationery and it came very quickly.

thumbwitch · 12/11/2008 16:37

ooooh, can't abide gloaters! - just really...

OrmIrian · 12/11/2008 16:39

Have to say cadelaide that 99p shop has some good stuff. Found a pyrex measuring jug and some big metal salad bowls last summer.
