What to get for 8 year old boy for Christmas?

My nephew has just turned 8. I have no idea what he is into apart from the usual football etc!! He is very trendy and cool though I think.

I have about £20 to spend on him

Any ideas??

What about a watch?

Or maybe ask his mum if he's written any kind of chritmas list or wish list and get some ideas from it.

My 8 yr old (almost 9 now though) at the moment likes ben 10, avitar, wwf.

He's asked for binoculars and a camera this year too.

Debenhams have a great brazilian football gift experience at the mo - bought for a friends DS's bday last week.

Cost me £20.00 and went down very well with friends DS.

Am getting my DS adopt a tiger from WHSmith as he is tiger mad!!

Dr Who merchandise? Star Wars Lego but only if he's good at lego. Interesting non-fiction eg: Egyptian, Crosssections. Tintin or Asterix or maybe thats not cool. Cool fashionable shirt, dragons, logos etc. Labyrinth game (not the wooden one but the one with a board and cards inside).

Sainsbury's have a metal detector (National Geographic) for about £15 and it's the only thing my soon to be 8yr old DS asked for.
