We have stocking hangers/hooks for me and dh but i want some new ones and also need one for ds' stocking cos he hasn't got one but can't find any.

So just wondering where can you buy them or what do you use instead?

I bought some little plastic hooks with sticky back plastic on the back from B&Q to hang ours on the fireplace last year.

Phoenix · 10/11/2008 21:31

Oh ok. Don't you have them on the mantlepiece as part of the decorations? Maybe i'll just leave them away til christmas eve then and put ds' in his room

They came of fine they'll only hold an empty stocking though but father hristmas put them on the ouch when he fills them up here anyway.

nails! i dont have a mantle, just a fire stuck on the wall- council place. tap a couple of nails either side of fire, then pull them out when fc has placed their stockings on the ends of their beds.

cherryliquormonster · 11/11/2008 10:26

lilyloo- you really do need to look at the way you word things!!! your post looks like you are saying you hang your children on the bedroom door

bozza · 11/11/2008 10:33

I have a decorative garland thing on the mantlepiece so during the run up to Christmas I hang the two empty stockings on the twisted wire bits at each end. Obviously the whole lot would come down when filled by FC, so he hangs them on the back of a child's wooden chair that we have.

bozza · 11/11/2008 10:35

And I think lilyloo's use of an apostrophe exempts her DC from being hung on the door handles.

JellycatShopkeeper · 11/11/2008 11:08

Some lovely stocking hangers from Gisela Graham

janinlondon · 11/11/2008 11:43

Lakeland - home of all things frivolous and unnecessary - has some good ones that can hang off the mantle and take the weight of a full stocking without marking. (Of course)

Lilyloo · 11/11/2008 20:32

LOL well haven't tried that as yet but who knows ?
