On my profile.

Can you make it out? Santa is stabbing the sleeping girl.

She's 7. I've decided to be proud of her vivid imagination

hmmm, if she starts torturing small animals (or reindeer) I'd hand her over to the authorities!

Has she said why Santa is stabbing the girl?

PortAndLemon · 10/11/2008 19:29

Does that say "do no belive i santa"? Does it illustrate what will happen if you do believe, or if you don't?

nannyogg · 10/11/2008 19:30

It's a ghost egg, or one that looks like the mask from Scream at least.

Good picture though.

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 10/11/2008 19:30

what what is the egg???

PortAndLemon · 10/11/2008 19:32

The story of the egg.

Cadelaide · 10/11/2008 19:49

Explanation, in DD's own words;

"There is two Santas. If you believe in the one in the green jacket there's a possibility that something bad might happen. [DD takes over typing from here]

its best to believe in the one
in the red and white clothes because he will
give you presents for free!
by the way none of it is true.

abear · 11/11/2008 09:16

There is a decapitated deer on the High Street in the village where I live this morning - perhaps she knows something we don't!

there are shades of the great artist Craigie Aitchison there I think

AphroditeInHerNightie · 11/11/2008 15:45

Any one seen the Futurama episode with the murderous Santa robot here

Ring any bells??

ShowOfHands · 11/11/2008 15:50

I like her style.

My parents have just cleared out their loft and found my school books up there. There's a story I've written aged 6 that goes something like this:

once there was a beautiful princess with long yellow hair and blue eyes and she went to the beach and got eaten by a big mutant robot and that was the end of her

There are several of these tales with graphic pictures and various fairytale heroes and heroines meeting sticky ends. There are lots of comments like 'You have a very good imagination ShowOfHands'. I asked my Mum about them and she shrugged and said 'yes, we used to worry about you'.

Turned out alright.

leoleo · 13/11/2008 12:01

There is a story of father christmas from a different country (I don't know which) where he visits children and hurts them or something. She must have heard this story - he is a evil folk story charecter.
Sorry so vague but I know what she means!! No need to worry.
Love the egg!

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 13/11/2008 16:31

abear do you live in that village with the topiary deer then? saw it on the news (so bored last night reading news for random areas on teletext LOL)

belgo · 13/11/2008 16:35

just look at all the gory fairy tales to see where they get their inspiration from - wolf eating grandmother (little red riding hood), little pigs boiling the big bad wolf, rapunzal locked up in a tower etc.

ErnestTheBavarian · 14/11/2008 15:04

maybe she saw this?.
