Ds loves anything with buttons especially remote controls (only ones that work), our laptop and anything musical. I've looked at the Vtech Baby Laptop in Toys R Us and I wasn't impressed. Can you think of anything we can get him? Don't want to spend much more than £30. Thanks.

Howabout a baby mobile? Our 12 mth old sounds very similar and loves his mobile phone (toy!)
Does he like musical books (i.e. the ones where you press buttons to the right and they make a noise?)
Not much help, but I will watch with interest ...

Toys with buttons are never as fun as the real thing

Button/gadget loving ds got right into duplo about that age. Got him a big tub of blocks and off he went, got the hang of making towers in no time.

Thanks.

Mobile phone toy is a good idea likessleep.

Indith - we have boxes of duplo for dd which she hardly plays with. I'm hoping ds will get more use out of it. I know what you mean about the real thing. He gets very upset when we take the remote away from him.

My little boy loves his brio remote control train! We bought it for his second birthday, but it is quite easy to work (forward, back, light and horn button!)and i think he will be playing with it for a long time to come!
