Mercy · 10/11/2008 09:39

I usually get him a book.

HappyMummyOfOne · 10/11/2008 09:42

Books, dvds and some new games for his console and usually get a big surprise although not sure exactly what yet.

wilbur · 10/11/2008 09:50

We're not doing big presents this year (had an expensive year) but I will get him a couple of books and some stocking fillers (usually small things he wants for his bicycle). Last year I got him a framed routemaster bus destination blind, and other recent presents have been an iPod, a really great jacket that he can wear smart or with jeans, and a course of session in a flat tank - he loves them!

wilbur · 10/11/2008 09:50

Sorry, FLOAT tank.

tokentotty · 10/11/2008 09:51

A coffee perculator - the old fashioned way of making coffee. DH likes filter coffee best. itunes gift card, chocolate orange, pilot pens and maybe a print of his favourite photographers work.

MrsThierryHenry · 10/11/2008 15:47

Not getting 'stuff' - we have more stuff than we need! We'll prob go out somewhere nice instead.

solo · 10/11/2008 15:48

Rat poison.

Indith · 10/11/2008 15:48

So far I have a cookery book as he is always saying we are missing a good Delia/Good Housekeeping style basic one with all the reference material for cooking times for joints etc and a small wine rack. He has asked for a little MP3 player too, of the £20 take to the gym sort.

His birthday is in January so I think most probably wine rack and MP3 for Christmas and book for birthday as it wasn't cheap!

Stocking will be bubble bath, few "posh" kitchen bits like tub of porcini mushrooms or saffron, slipper socks, that sort of thing.

notamumyetbutoneday · 10/11/2008 15:51

His main present will be a new coat from Moss. it is a surprise but I know he wants a new coat just hope he likes it!!!

other bits include a diary, an engraved business card holder, book and CD etc

No idea! Have gotten him a book of Thai Curries and a book of Mathematical Curiosities. Will get him a chocolate orange and a big box of wine gums.

Maybe some clothes as he needs them but he is totally uninterested so he won't be impressed really.

And it's his birthday on 25th of this month!

notamumyetbutoneday · 10/11/2008 15:54

Buda I have same problem- my husbands is 26th November!!Usually end up exhausting all ideas then!
