Xmas shoe box appeals

DS is three & we'll be doing these through his nursery. However, if Father Christmas brings presents how do I explain that some children don't get anything at Christmas...

Come on, he's three and a relentless questioning machine! There is sooo little that be glossed over at the moment!

Tell him these children don't have pens and paper so they can't write to Santa, and lots of them don't have mummies and daddies to help them.

Might miss out the lack of parents bit as we're going through an overwhelmed by death phase but the pen idea is fab!
