I got one from Argos, a simple tunnel (ie no tent etc), DS at 14 months thinks it's fab! Kid Active pop-up tunnel, £9.99 see here.

oh i found that one and thought it looked good. i wondered if it was a bit short?

Oh, and the cat likes it too. The 'windows' provide great entertainment as you can play peekaboo (this with child, not cat); and are reassuring as you can see where child and cat are, if both are in the tunnel together ...

the price looks ok too.

can you attach two tunnels together?

Length seems fine for DS - says it's 1.2m on blurb, I think. You need room to get in and out of it too, so depends on what space you have to put it in. It certainly keeps it's shape, so is better than the Ikea one I've seen.

We have an elc one which has worn well. Don't know how long it is. We use it as part of a set so they don't get bored of it being too short (if it is).

Dragonbutter · 08/11/2008 21:48

elc don't seem to do a tunnel at the moment.
shame because i have a discount code.

Not sure about attaching two; might get a bit claustrophobic! I guess you could always have a box or tent or something that joins two tunnels & give space to turn around (we've got a local gift shop that has massive cardboard delivery boxes, you could always have arts & craft session with LO to decorate if you found similar box...)

Lots of tunnels here, the one at the bottom might suit... or this one is 1.4m long.

Some great ones here but not cheap

Dragonbutter · 08/11/2008 21:57

thanks numptymum, your googling must be better than mine.
i like the jackson camping ones but the first argos one does seem better value.

Good luck! At least you'll be able to store it easily enough before Christmas... be warned, they are fairly explosive when you release the velcro tabs!

Dragonbutter · 08/11/2008 21:59

thanks angrypixie, the caterpillar one looks fun doesn't it

DH is coveting the military camo tent and tunnel one.

Here are the ELC ones. They don't tend to market their outdoor stuff in the winter but they keep a lot of it on their website. We have the transport set.
