What would you buy for your good friend's 2 year old DD?

Where would you pitch it in terms of item and also the amount that you would spend?

I am spending up to £10 each on the children of my 2 best friends. Not much advise on girls I'm afraid, but would go for something pink probably, or a nice book perhaps!

I asked a friend what would be useful as was thinking of clothing; failing that I find it's hard to go wrong with a book?
Personally I prefer either of these options to toys for our 2 year old as her interest wanes so quickly with toys (except for a £5 pushchair from Early Learning which I bought her myself and was well worth it as still used daily)

I buy for two of my good friends dc's and they buy for mine.

We usually spend around £10.

I have asked them to buy my littlest dd (will be 17 months at Christmas) clothes or pj's.
IMO you can't go wrong ...especially with pjs
