and have asked for suggestions as to which one.

I would imagine the budget is around £5-600 as it is shared between 3 DDs, anyone got any experience of models to go for/avoid?

Oh and size is not really a problem.

how old are your dcs?

we got a wooden one which was also a christmas present a couple of years ago between 3 dc. We chose one that an adult can comfortably stand in, but it has a child-sized mezzanine "upstairs". Also handy to have large ground floor area as in the winter they now keep most of their 'outside' toys in it, and use it as a play house in the spring and summer iyswim.
this sort of thing similar to ours

DDs are 4 (nearly 5) 5 and 6

erm I presume so....
we just do ours with the wood-protecting stuff, but we obviously can't pick the right shade because it was originally a really bright orangey colour and now it's quite dark brown

my ds has got one very similar to the one gigglewitch linked to.....my ds loves it, it's at his GP's as they have a bit of woodland next to their house. It's been one of the best presents he's ever received to be honest, hours of fun to be had, it's been his shop, his house and currently serves as his tardis!

fantastic, I would imagine I will hardly see the girls once we get it

We've bought this one for DD4.5 & DS1.9 for Xmas.

I'd say get the biggest one you can afford/have space for as some are pretty cramped inside. We went for 6ft x 6ft internal size with no verandah, just a roof overhang. I'm 5ft 10 and can just about stand upright in the middle. It cost £375 incl 10% discount & free concrete bearers. And free delivery/erection (on 23 dec, not sure how I'll hide it for 2 days )

I'd beware buying from some of the cheap online companies as friend had one delivered that would've had nails sticking through the floorboards, flimsy flooring etc. She returned it & got same one we're getting from a "proper" shed place.

Am v excited, just need to make some gingham curtains for it. I would've died & gone to heaven if I'd had one of these as a den when I was even as old as about 12
