No more playmobil
no more polly pocket
no more barbie stuff
has a cd player, doesn't want a camera

likes playing playing playing, drawing and writing

The only thing she wants is a Fur Real Lion Cub thing which thanks to the wisdom of mumsnet I will be waiting to buy as it is just the kind of thing that is heavily reduced at the last minute.

Games console - Nintendo DS or Wii
Ipod or other MP3 player
Lots of debate to be had about the wisdom of all of the above but at least take up a lot less room than Playmobil or similar

Age appropriate jewellry e.g.
lovelinks petite

bike or scooter

clothes, new boots

I have a six year old DD too, you have my sympathy it's not easy. Mine's getting playmobil - if you get desperate John Lewis have the hospital in stock and 20% off it until 12/11 - making it £80
here

On the furreal front my DD was desperate for some - got given a puppy for her birthday last year and has barely touched it. I'd certainly second that you see the stuff dratically reduced though.

I did a similar thread a week or so ago
here

I am probably going to get her a desk and a chair, with an array of lovely stationery stuff as she is an admin geek

dd has a fur-real dalmatian which she loves, but ds2 REALLY adores it - tells it to 'SIT' a lot!

Would she like something like a recorder and a tutor book? Or My Little Pony stuff (that was my favourite thing at that age).

Dd who is 5 has requested a doll that isn't a baby doll and isn't a barbie, and my mum is going to get this which I know is horribly expensive, but my mum would like to get her a REALLY nice doll, and it is beautiful.

ooh ooh torty then you have to get her a Corolle Les Cheries I bought it for dd2 for her birthday and she LOVES it
