for some reason our schools nativity play is going to be about.............wait for it..................snow white.

I cant see were little baby jesus pops in to this story .

does he appear with the wicked witch and an apple?

how is this going to work out?

and , this is apprently , shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh TOP SECRET at the moment..................I have no idea why....shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

all i can say is that the school teachers must have excellent story telling powers.......................but all most parents want is their child to be an angel...............( for many its the only chance to view your child as one) and watch as they pick their nose on stage , with tinsel slideing of their heads........................sigh..............feel all sentimental now..................ahhhhhhhhhh.

If it is for infants then I would agree with you. However, I think that juniors should be able take part in a non religious performance like pantomome style as they will have had their fill of nativity plays by then.

My mum used to have to come up with a school performance every Christmas for 120 5-7 year olds and 30 3-5 year olds. A story with less than 10 main characters doesn't really help this very much, and doesn't share the stage time very much. Hence why they didn't do nativity plays, and did do things like 'Goldilocks and the three bears meet Little Red Riding Hood and the Care Bears in the big woods'.

Nativity plays really only work if only one class gets to do it imo
