Sainsbury's doing half price toys for next few days. Only in store (I think)

My friend told me today, so just thought I'd share. They usually have some good ones...Ben 10, Star Wars, etc. I'm off there tomorrow see what I can get for the Birthday box and for Christmas too.

I wanted to go today. Damn.

I saw this today when in Sainsbury. It really is a good deal but probably for the under 10's. Definately worth making an extra trip out for.

I saw an ad for Asda doing half price toys today too. Looks like we might be able to get by without separate gift shopping...just get everything with the groceries

Now Tesco's jumped on the band wagon

I was about to post about this - just got loads of half price ITNG stuff for ds2 for Christmas, and a couple of bigger transformers for ds1.

Sainsbos btw.

What have they got at Tesco?

I bought my bits at Sainsbury's yesterday. Got home, checked receipt and was charged twice for some lego so actually paid full price . Was only £1.49 but it gets my goat! I can't be bothered going back in to sort it out. Had it been one of the pricier Ben 10 toys (which quite frankly seem a rip off at even half price!) I would have done.

NOTE TO SELF: check receipts in store (easier said than done with buggy and baby in tow).

Fllightthebluetouchpaper · 07/11/2008 13:31

Oh gosh I hate it when that happens!

I did self service till today, which actually worked without telling me to seek assistance

Fllightthebluetouchpaper · 07/11/2008 13:32

'unexpected item in the bagging area' always makes me think a hairy gnu has crept up from behind the till and is peering out of one of my carrier bags.

bamboo · 07/11/2008 13:41

I hate those with a passion Fllight. The Asda woman coerced me towards the self service tills today. When I moaned about having to keep pressing the 'skip bagging' button and then having to seek assistance as I was packing directly into the buggy, she helpfully told me I should scan my things and pop them on the weighted thing where the carrier bags are and then pack my things at the end. Yeah, like that helps .

Yes most of the transformers had gone...got last big one. Luckily one he hadn't already got.

Bamboo - that's infuriating. Yesterday I had to repeatedly throw a big pack of nappies onto the bagging thing, just to get it to register that there was something there - I mean how sensitive is it??!
